If you are reading this, you have likely followed the progression of the assessment of assessments rubric that I have been slowly tweaking for my CEP 813 class at Michigan State University. Today is the day that we hand over the “finished” copy. Which you can find here or below.
We were challenged to find criteria that we thought were necessary for a good assessment. We read somewhere around a Googol of articles about a multitude of topics such as formative assessment, backwards planning, and Universal Design for Learning (check it out; it’s worth the time).
I have tweaked some of the criteria from earlier versions, I’ve added things to look for, and I have added some more citations from those articles that I mentioned.
